Nielson Park

Nielsen Park is a popular family picnic spot with a beach that is protected by a shark net during summer. Nielsen Park offers a stunning walk along the Hermitage Foreshore, a 1.5-km bushland strip winding along the western edge of Vaucluse between Nielsen Park & Bayview Hill Rd. Parsley Bay

Parsley Bay Reserve is a popular family park that has an enclosed swimming area and children’s playground. There is also a short bushland walk (15-20 minutes return), where you will see a waterfall at the head of the gully. In summer Eastern Water Dragons can be seen sunning along the watercourse. Coast Walk – Christison Park to Inner South Head

The walk takes approximately 3 hours and is a leisurely 5km walk. Alternatively select only a small part of the walk such as the historic Signal Station & Macquarie Lighthouse, the Gap & its surrounding parkland at Watsons Bay or the Sydney Harbour National Park with its walk to Lady Bay and Inner South Head. The Federation Cliff Walk

The Federation Cliff Walk is a five kilometre clifftop walk with perfect views out to the Pacific Ocean from Dover Heights to Watsons Bay. Beginning from Raleigh Reserve in Dover Heights, this walkway wanders through parklands close to the edge of the cliffs that overlook the vast blue swathe of the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, admire the Macquarie Lighthouse, marvel at the dramatic views of The Gap and take a close look at the 80-metre sandstone cliffs at Raleigh Reserve. Vaucluse House

Macquarie Lighthouse
